Nasim Saifi

Nasim Saifi, missionary

Biography

As a young convert, I was eager to read as much as possible about Ahmadiyyat and at one point I had read each and every book in the Danish mission. That is how I found a series of booklets written by a person named Nasim Saifi.

I learned that he was a missionary, at that time in Africa and that he also wrote books. I read all available of his books and found that they were actually written for children – but I found them excellent for educating new converts as well. They were written in a way easy to understand for a person who did not have so much knowledge in advance, they were logical and structured. I really liked them, enjoyed reading them and learned a lot as well.

Since my experience had been so positive, I decided to let him know and thank him for writing thee booklets. Thus I wrote to him and explained my thoughts and feelings. At that time there were no internet and no computers, s a letter would take long time to reach its destiny. After some time I received his reply and from there on a correspondence, lasting for decades, started. I had so many question and there was so much I wanted to know and to learn, and he always replied and explained with great patience.

Whenever I was in Rabwah, I was always invited to him and his wife for tea or dinner – and for a long chat and I started to regard them as my friends. I am so grateful for all good he taught me for his kindness and encouraging words. He later on gave me a whole bunch of his publications, and I have preserved them till this day. May Allah be well pleased with him.

A more extensive article about him has been published in Urdu, in the online version of Daily Al-Fazl the 26th November 2021.
